WaMu.com sucks the donkey ass balls.
I am trying to order brand new checks as I never got checks when I opened the account in May.
I go online, there's an option for order checks.
I select that for the account that I want to order checks for.
It pops up a screen says "We do not have a record of previously ordered checks for you. You need to first order checks to proceed."

Ummm fuckheads, that is what I am trying to do.

So basically, I can't order checks unless I have previously ordered checks...

(btw, this is what I do for a living, so seeing shitty user experience really drives me batty)

Oh, and WaMu is up for sale. Go figure.

Well, not so much. Wamu was put up for sale by the Gov't, JP morgan stepped in just shy of 2 billion dollars, and um... yeah, it's gonna get worse. It's been two solid weeks of *public* acknowledgement they were in the hole, n/m the quiet speculation. Time to find a new bank I agree... I'd go BofA or Schwab, or a large-ish credit union.

I've been with BoA for years. I only opened a WaMu acct cuz they funded my newest home loan & if I opened a checking acct w/them, I'd save like $2k on closing cost. Yep, time to move my the moola at WaMu to BoA..

i've been banking with wamu since i was 16 (savings account), have never had any problems, and just found out a little while ago about the jp morgan thing. guess it's time to find a new bank. :(

Boeing Employees Credit Union rocks and anyone in Washington State can join.

Chase Manhatten just bought WAMU. I banked with Chase for many years and they are great! I say ride it out. AND this means my bff Esther may be able to move up here now! We have been PRAYING for chase to buy WAMU, because she works for Chase Mortgage in TX and needed this to get a transfer up here. (fingers crossed!)
