It's the LOG song from Ren & Stimpy!!!
What rolls down stairs alone or in pairs
Rolls over your neighbor's dog?
What's great for a snack and fits on your back?
It's Log, Log, Log!
It's Log, Log, it's big, it's heavy, it's wood.
It's Log, Log, it's better than bad, it's good!
Everyone wants a log! You're gonna love it, Log!
Come on and get your log! Everyone needs a Log!
Log, from Blammo!
OK, I was just thinking.
The Seattle PI is now closing down and only keeping its online version.
The cost of printing and delivering paper is not cost effective.
How come the Newspapers didn't like partner up with the US postal service since postal service go to like, oh, every single home in America to deliver mail already?
See what I'm saying?
If I ran the newspapers. Ha.
When I was a kid, I loved drawing so much that I'd get up after my mom has gone to sleep and continue to work on whatever piece I was working on at the time. I even used towels to block the gap between the bottom of the door to the floor so you can't see from the hallway that my light is on. On those nights I'd get any where between 0 - 3 hours of sleep before I'd have to get up and get ready for school. For years now, that kind of passionate fire that I had as a kid extinguished.
Until Jan 2.
I have stayed up 2 nights in a row now drawing until 5:30am. Then I'd get up around 9am and start my day. I'm not even tired. I can't stop thinking about what I am going to draw. I feel so happy and the sore aching muscles are still worth it. Surprisingly, I didn't lose my drawing skills even though I haven't drawn like this in like forever! Alternatively, I think I've developed a brand new style that I feel resonates with the being of me.
Wow. I'm so happy right now.
So so so so happy.
I want to remember this feeling and capture it forever.
On my way to work this morning, the traffic was crawling slowly as usual in the same spots. I moved up quickly and let this truck get behind me inline for the highway on ramp and noticed the guy in the truck is actually pretty cute. I was singing to Gwen Stefani and having a good time just doing my morning driving ritual. Can't help but looked at the cute guy a couple of times via my rear view mirror. I thought that he was looking back at me and I thought that he smiled. Whatever, I keep doing my own thing. Then I think he waved at me through the rear view mirror. I wasn't sure, so I kept singing. 20 seconds later, he pulls his truck up next to my car, rolled down his window and asked me to roll down mine.
"You wanna call me?"
Taken by surprise, I nervously smiled and giggled a little.
"OK" I said.
He tossed me a rolled up piece of paper.
I caught it.
He drove away.
The piece of paper has his first name and phone number on it.
Hehehehe :D
So bold, I likey. <3
Sunday started with meeting friends for vegetarian food in Capital Hill. We then went for meat and beer immediately afterward because we were jonsin' for non-veggies. Then we decided to go on a field trip to Deja Vous, a local stip joint because me and @sabrigley are both taking pole dancing classes and wanted to see what "professional" do.
We were amazed with the beautiful badonkadonks we saw. Wow.
But we were both very disappointed that none of the girls really did any pole work.
Our male friend disappeared for about 5 minutes with one of the strippers. Hee hee.
It was funny because @sabrigley and I were looking at the strip teases from more a technical point of view.
We were both like, oh ok, she is now doing a hip flirt, and a Cleopatra. Haha. Nerds.
After that @sabrigley and I decided to go shopping while our male friend went to meet another friend for a movie.
We went and bought some delicious naughty nickers.
Who doesn't wanna be sexy underneath all that clothinig even if no one sees 'em but you? :)
Then we went to meet another male friend for sushi cuz we wanted buy him dinner to thank him for driving us all around town when we were in LA.
It was a feast!
I ran into a Brightkite friend for the first time in real life and he bought us all oyster shooters!
I had a wakame salad (seaweed) while my friends had spinach salads.
I started feeling very sick within 5 minutes.
I ate a bit more but then had to stop and run to the bathroom to dry heave a few times.
I felt bad but I had to get home.
@sabrigley and I caught a cab to where our cars were parked.
I drove like a mad woman home.
Ran inside the house as fast as I could.
Discoverd that Solo had been sick too. There were a couple piles of diahrrhea :(
The smell drove me to the edge.
I ran for the bathroom...
My very expensive dinner shot out of me mouth into the porcelain goddess.
Ugh...
I was shaking, aching, feeling pain all over.
Food poisoning.
and to perform a wedding for my friend Tiger and her fiance! :D
So much to do B4 then.
Taking Chewie a friend's house tomorrow after work.
Dropping Solo off Thurs morning at daycare.
Pack regular clothes and Halloweenie costume!
(My costume this year is my favorite ever! Will post photos later)
Haven't been to LA since I was like 11. Don't know much about it.
But me and my friend Sabrigley are gonna bum around town & maybe do some cheesy touristy things like going to the stars boardwalk thingy.
Excited! It's gonna be an epic trip!
Wow, I've traveled much this year:
NY, twice
Austin
Vegas
Kauai
LA
Kauai again in Nov
OH OH OH and snowboarding season is upon us again!
Maybe I might squeeze a trip to Whistler :) Yay!
For the Giving campaign at work, 3 co-workers and myself formed a Rockband rock band called "System Failure." We made it into the final 13 bands that get to perform and try to win prizes tomorrow. Since the competition is tomorrow at 3-530pm, I'm going to dress up in my rocker goth girl attire for the entire day to further promote the event. Everyone gets 2 vote vouchers by showing up. If the person has donated either time or money to the campaign, s/he gets 10 more extra voting vouchers. It is super important that we get people to come. :D
I wonder if I will get any new nerdy secret admirers tomorrow after the show. Haha :D
First prize = everyone in the band wins a Rock band system. I can haz??! We've practiced twice already and will practice one more time today. I wanna win (for a good cause)!
